Wearable Tech has become a big deal and Toronto has turned into a hotbed of activity. I first saw MeU on the runway at TOM* and was super excited to work with founder Robert Tu on their recent rebranding.
MeU makes LED panels that are outfitted in clothing to display static or motion graphics/text, which has a range of applications from advertising logo or message display at functions to cyclist safety at night. The added bonus is that it also looks cool. Whenever I've been around MeU and their panels, there's always lots of interest and people are very curious about it. No Wearable Tech conversation is complete without mentioning Tom Emrich and the community he's built here (and afar). Keep up with WeAreWearables in your city at their monthly Meetups here.
